NSF gives Baylor almost a half million dollars for scholarships
Baylor University announces that it has received a grant from the National Science Foundation to be used for scholarships to help students currently attending regional community colleges and partner institutions transfer to Baylor to continue their computer science or engineering studies.
Many minority students in the area are forced by economic circumstances to study at community colleges. It is hoped that the new scholarships will help both the number and diversity of the School of Engineering and Computer Science.
The scholarships will be available beginning next fall. For more information, please check http://www.baylor.edu/pr/news.php?action=story&story=42481.
