Bowdoin College to Eliminate Student Loans

Bowdoin College of Brunswick, Maine, announced Friday that beginning with the 2008-09 school year, they will replace student loans for all new and current students receiving financial aid.

Bowdoin's program is among the most ambitious of the schools that have anounced similiar no loan plans. Many others have reduced loans for current students, without eliminating them altogether. Still others have capped the family incomes that would be eligible.
